Re: dapsa
It would seem timely to draw everyone's attention to the notice to people posting on this site:

"Users posting messages are responsible for ensuring that messages are not in any way offensive, libelous or break any laws. While we cannot accept responsiblity for material posted in the Forum, appropriate action will be taken against any user who abuses the facility."

My definition of offensive would include bad language (remember children can see this site too), and personal abuse. If anyone wants to make accusations, they should first consider whether they'd be prepared to defend them in court.

While on the one hand I'm delighted to see this site being used for real debate about issues which concern our community, there are limits as to what is acceptable.

As far as leaving the "corruption" allegation online, I was asked by someone from DAPSA to leave the message online meantime.

Re: dapsa
I have been reading the comments recently. I have seen Mark's comment. I would agree that he could have been more restrained. However why dont the people replying simply give him the information and that will end the matter. PS Im not even a member.

Re: dapsa
i am a member and i agree with Conor. i dont agree with Mark. i believe the centre is in finincial trouble. all we get from the comm is a denial that this true. they should open the accounts to the entire population of the area or at least to all the members. they have a right to this information.

If you are not afraid to hide behind a web page. The manager has said that he would be delighted to advise you of his wage. Just drop in and ask for him.

Re: dapsa
point taken Charlie!!

Think I got a bit excited.... you hear so many people asking where the swimming pool is!
So what was discussed at the AGM on Monday night, unfortunatley I was unable to attend? Is there still a positive attitude about the centre? What was the feed back from the commitee?

Re: dapsa
Sadly what wasnt disscussed at the AGM was my idea for a new dapsa slogan, a motto we could all rally round to in hours of despair. Such a motto would strenghthen our common bond and lead us out of the darkness.
As Donabate is laced with a venom unheard of in all Ireland and so destined to forever be divided, I have taken the liberty of drawing up a shortlist to avoid conflict. All additions are welcome, and I shall announce the winner on New Years Eve. My decision will be final.

Shortlist:
*DPCC-The place to be
*DPCC-Just do it
*DPCC-Sure why not
*DPCC-A taste for the new generation
*DPCC-Now thats shopping as it should be
*DPCC-You don't need us, but we really need you
*DPCC-Yup!
*Dulce et decorum est pro centrum communitas mori
*DPCC-De People's Community Centre
*DPCC-The centre formerly known as DAPSA
*In absentia persona et lucre
