Donabate Dentist too pricey
If the implication in 'you get what you pay for' is that more money = better quality, I'm not sure that does, or should apply to health services?

It ignores any differences in costs such as surgery rental; would a 'bad' dentist in the city center cost the same as a 'good' dentist in Termonfeckin?

Sukiyaki Hi good question! all I know is that my family used a dentist in Swords for years, we pay for everything no S/W help and I felt from the 1st visit to this dentist was a much better exsperience, appts etc running on time top of the range equipment NO PAIN whats so ever FOR KIDS THATS A MUST...and all the paper work in order for tax refunds credits etc that came with the bills, granted the bills were a bit smaller from Swords but all in all I found this guy brillent and money well spent

Paddy ...LMAO "s"

I have to say that i find donabate dentists a disgrace. As a very nervous patient i put my trust in their hands and was (1) ask to come in early and when i did was left waiting 40 minutes because a nurse wanted to leave early. (2) was then told that "I should have been told last time" that there was a risk that my tooth might crack during the procedure so go home and think about it for 3 weeks. When i rang to complain about my treatment i was told "ok thanks" As i said, a disgrace!!!

I have used 5 different Dentists in the course
of my travels and have never found that price =
quality. The notion is farcical.

My wife used the Donabate dentist and was ripped off . Never again. If these people have to rely on return business they may suffer.

Then again knowing the Irish consumer they will probably thrive!!!

I feel I was totally ripped off at this dentist also, and at a time when I was very vunerable at 9 months pregnant when a tooth broke. I was also deeply suspicious that he was INSISTING I needed extra orthodontic work done when my teeth were pretty straight. Even his own nurse/technician said that she didnt think it necessary he kept insisting I need all this extra work. I sought a second opinion from Elise O'Callaghan in John Murphy's practice in Malahide and she was fantastic. She agreed I didnt need the work done at all and I've been going to her ever since. Her prices are WAY lower and it is a very well established and respected practice. Incidentally, having a female dentist is wonderful - smaller fingers, jaw not so sore!

I need to go to the Dentist Bally ,and I am going to take up your recommendation for the Dentist in Malahide.
I dont get it ,surely this practice is aware of the discontent of its clients ,as it is evident that they have recieved quite a few complaints first hand from clients .They must be doing really well if they do not act,as a business, to try to address these issues .
As a matter of interest,My wife and two children went to a Dentist in Newry ,and we all had our teeth checked and cleaned and recommendations for further treatments ie deep cleaning for me.It cost 200 euro if I remember correctly but it was a nice experience also.
The only problem is the trip up , I will have to find another reason to go there as well .Carlingford is a nice diversion maybe.
