ok seriously, where is o'kane going with his ''special offers''..??? the way he has them plastered all over the windows, and to be honest, they aren't even tht good! but it is all a scam lads.... he may have low prices on the offers, but he's hiked up prices on most of the other products so we can all be sure that he still makes a lovely profit.... i wouldn't trust him!! people constantly moan about slightly higher prices in the smaller newsagents around the village, but i would rather give my money to those rather than o'kane.

you know we aren't forced to shop in any one particular shop. That shop can charge whatever they like (within super valu chain regulations i presume) but we dont have to shop there!

Ok so there isnt a whole lot of other choice, but I dont believe we have the right to give out about prices charged in a shop owned by a private individual (unless of course they are breaking the law in some way).

Vote with your feet and dont shop there if you dont like the prices.

I've posted on here before about this subject. Prices in Supervalus up and down the country are the same on probably 95-98% of the products. They are set by Musgraves. There is some leeway for stores to adjust prices after that to reflect local pricing but the majority don't.

I know Eddie Kane professionally. I have had some dealing with him in the past. He's a talented businassman who took on a great challenge when he bought that shop. It is consitantly in the top 10 stores in Ireland.

It is audited regularly, as are all Supervalu stores up and down the country to ensure that the prices they charge are in line with competitors. I suggest Moe that instead of complaining on here you voice your concerns to one of the managers, who would only be too happy to get a bit of feedback from customers.

If not that then vote with your feet and don't shop there. If everyone does this then it will hit where it most hurts, in revenue. They will quickly get the idea.

There is only one economic forecaster I pay any attention to and that is Dan Mclaughlin chief economist at Bank of Ireland. If you listen to George Lee on RTE ,you would have shut up shop years ago .He is so negative and pessimistic he is like the grim reaper on the telly .Warren Buffet declared recently that the sub prime crisis is now nearing its conclusion .Take Lee of the news and growth will go up 100%

I am missing the point on this one,Did Mr O,Kane not open up the shop to make a profit ?,Its clean and well stocked an I for one am glad of it.
I am fully aware its not as cheap as Lidl or Aldi ,Gala tried to compete with no luck ,we will be down to one Mini/Supermarket .
I also think your Referring to 'he' all the time as opposed to the shop itself makes me think this may be personal.

I would this time tend to agree with you cp the 'I would,nt trust him' comment was unfair in my mind ,As far as I am aware its not a crime to make a profit
