jolly...you say these people have nothing. On whose authority do you have that 'fact'?

Have you been in SuperValu (on multiple occasions) when the people who have nothing are filling the change machine with bags and bags of coins?

Have you seen them in the town drinking cans of beer (again on many occasions....an illegal act I believe). Seems to me they have money for beer.

Have you been on the train with them in the mornings and in the evenings when they are laden down with goods?

Have you seen them in town (all over town) looking downtrodden and depressed and oh so sick, when a few hours later these same people are lively and sprightly and noisy on the train home?

Would be very interesting to get the coin machine figures from SuperValu, but after speaking with people who know the Roma lifestyle in Ireland, you would be very shocked to learn that some of these individuals, who as you say have nothing, 'earn' more than you realise. Figures in excess of ?200 per day have been mentioned.

More to the point, have you seen the agressiveness with which they beg around the Pro Cathedral? I have. The same "begger" was on then on the train I was when I was going home.

When they come to my front door and beg, then throw an egg at my window when I tell them no....well, any sympathy for their plight well and truly evaporates. The guards weren't all that interested either.
But I suppose you think this is appropriate behaivour, Jolly, for people who have "nothing". I was after all probably asking for it for not wanting to give a begger money at my front door while simultaneously changing my sons nappy. Shame on me.

Wise up folks! The jennet that calls itself "jolly" is clearly a WUM* and, from its poor spelling, it can safely be concluded that it has a mental age located somewhere in the low teens.

So better to ignore it and get on with giving out about the Roma infestation and the pathetic inability of the clowns in Biffo's Government to do anything about virtually anything that really matters to their electorate. (And don't get me started on Trevor Sargent - there are slugs in my garden that are much higher up the evolutionary chain than he is.)

* a WUM is somebody with the emotional maturity of an amoeba and the intelligence of the entire Healy-Rae clan.

Forgive my awful spelling!I'm in no way a living day Jesus!

Please don't attack me, but everyone seems to speak bad of these people.

Yes, I have been on the train with Roma people and yes it was unpleasent.

Yes, I have been to supervalue and seen them drink cans of beer and hang around in groups.

Yes, they are annoying when they knock on people's doors demanding money.

But on a positive note. What can we do for the Roma people in order for them to intergrate into our community???

I just think that we are giving them a really hard time and if we could help them in some way to intergrate into our community we would all be happier!!

My understanding of the Roma people is that they dont want to integrate into any community. they are here to beg, steal (allegedly!), and get through life without ever earning a legitimate cent. It happens in whatever country they happen to be in. It's their culture.

They have broken in to someones house and are living their unlawfully.
If they moved out of there today and broke into your house and decided to live there, would you still want to integrate with them?
I cant understand why the developer/owner has not got the guards involved.

They stink like no smell I have ever experienced before from another human being.
Is there running water in the house they have broken into?
Donabate is surrounded by water, they could very easily 'bathe' somewhere if they really really wanted to.

I have no time whatsoever for these people.
And I am in no way racist. I welcome all immigrants to this country who are here to work (and shower!) and integrate. Immigration is the best thing thats ever happened to us in a long long time in my opinion.

Jolly they don't want to integrate, they haven't in Romania and they wont here.

But as for urinating in public spaces I have seen the fine up standing youths of Ireland pee on the green on their way towards portrane, drunk as skunks barely able to stand with their box of beer on their shoulder's and in day light with kids playing near by. I rang the Guards as well but they didn't even bother to answer the phone. Seriously if we are talking about deporting undesirables I know where to start and Van Demans land would be to good for them.

Squatter the great strength of this site is the anonnimity it gives to the participants, that way you get to hear what people really think whether you like it or not. Your despicable attempt at outing Jolly just because you don't like her view point is a blatant attempt at intimidation and I think you should be banned from the forum.

Whether you're for them or against them, one things for sure is that their presence is very divisive negative for the area going by these posts.

For that reason alone, I would rather they left and went home.

Lets move on from this topic folks, can't believe so many folk have spent hours typing such mince on this forum. Whether it be someone p!ssing in the street, begging, stealing a jar of jam or extreme b/o... Its your own fault if you are intimidated, offended or uneasy and you wont see the garda wasting their time here.

Get over it, there are more important things to worry about in life.
