Terron your quiet right you have to first dehumanise the subjects of your displeasure before you can move ordinary decent people to commit acts against them, against their own civilized moral compass. I mean what normal person could consider running down another human being in their car? another human no a smelly Roma well what the hell.

I'm not sure the comparison with the US immigration is valid, they don't (well as far as I know) deport US citizens from say New York to Boston. Whats the point in deporting EU citizens back to Romania as far as I know with in a couple of years they will have complete freedom of travel perhaps we need to start looking at other options.

I feel the comparison to US immigration is quite valid. If I were to travel to the US on a tourist visa and decided to stay, beg, steal, squat on private property, I would be sent home in an instant.

The Roma are entitled to come here to visit. Essentially as tourists, but once their time has run out the must return home. They may stay and work with the appropriate visa, but without that they are in this country illegally.

They should be sent home, if they are found returning without valid work permits they should face a prison sentence and a fine before another deportation.

Apologies for not having been able to respond sooner.

By comparing some of the attitudes expressed on here with Mein Kampf, I was not saying that anyone expressing them agrees with genocide. In the part of the book I was reading, Hitler begins describing that he was not anti-semitic and disagreed with anti-semitism in Viennese newspapers. It was his encounters with Jewish people and their smell that seems to have developed this initial distaste of his.

I only highlighted the similarity to warn people of what may happen if they allow the current thinking on here to go unchecked.

Vinilla is right. People seem to look at the Roma in the village as if they are sub-human. As far as I can see; all they have done in the village is live in a house they have not paid for, drink cans and smell badly.

How many people living on social welfare in this area could the same be said of? At least the Roma get up in the morning and go out into the fresh air.

By the way, I quoted the passage verbatim and referenced it. The only response seems to have been facetious exaggerations.

Just be aware that the Roma are people with dignity and feelings too.

People are losing the run of themselves here.

Gobsheen, where do we draw the line? How many squatters are acceptable. What else should we lay on for people who illegally trespass. Free electricity etc?
