Dub, we're renting at the moment and need to have a family home. We're not looking for an investment. We'll probably live in that house for the next 10 years or so. If you can find another house in Donabate with the same high specs for the same price, then let me know. Even if the value went down of another 10pc in the next year, we would still have spent more renting, if you know what I mean.
Of course I'm nervous, but honestly I'm more concerned about so many people loosing their jobs. Unfortunately, that could happen to everybody, right?

Well not everyone, the Civil Servants dont have that worry unless they are on short term contracts. But the biggest danger of negative equity is losing your job, I have heard stories (from older people) who remember family members back in the fifties simply closing the door putting the keys through the letter box and emigrating to England.

But everything in life requires some risk taking, the best of Luck to you I hope it works out.

Now Im going to keep to the lighter topics, poetry, flirting and slagging Squat.

Congrats to Beba for signing the contract for the new house.
Fair play to you for having the guts to go ahead,
sometimes its easier once you have made the decision.
Now all we can do is hope for the best. we are all in the same boat now...or house!!!

Keep in touch.
