I was talking to someone yesterday that knows the shop owner well and he confirmed that the shop is no more.

It is a shame but not surprising under the circumstances. It must be extremely tough trying to make a living out of a shop which by it's nature has to charge more than local competitors to make a profit. Stephen Gibson really worked his ass off to make a go of it and it's too bad that he's gone and we have one less shop. I'll have to wait a little longer to get my Sunday papers from now on ! I understand that he also has a restaurant on the go -I hope it works out for him.

It is a pity that there's no shop down that end anymore. Very handy for the people down that end and the after school trade.

Hope it doesn't stay empty too long.

That is a really pity. Sorry to hear that. Yes agree Stephen did put his heart and soul into that shop. It was so handy.

Hope his restaurant is more successful.

No need for that Anonymous! Sounds like you have a bit of chip on your shoulder.
Any time I met him, he was nothing but friendly and helpful. He transformed Spar into a great little shop.

What does it matter anyhow, another local business is gone and that in Donabate is a pity.

God Anonymus ur one arsehole.....

What type of Coward takes it on ur self to kick a guy when hes down.

Stephen is a gentleman that worked hard and you are a sly coward using the name Anonymous.

I wish Stephen well as does most decent people in the community.
