my point was that this is not a place where someone's character should be assassinated by people using false names.
Politicians or people who willingly put themselves and their actions up for public scrutiny, can be commented on, but members of the community should not.

I think it is as valid to call someone a gangster based on experience as it is to call someone a gentleman.
Surely the community (and this forum) is best served by open communication?

| Name calling aside the real impact of this local shop closing will mean extra pedestrian traffic in the links and more vehicles driving into and looking for parking in the village. You know for the milk, papers, bread, sweets small shopping that would usually have stopped at the school. |

| It is a shame to see yet another business go under -all we have down that neck of the woods is Grogans in Portrane now and that could be a goldmine if they got their act together. what we need around the Parish is a really good newsagent - the one on the bridge is pathetic (maybe when the new owners come in they might do something with the place but I think they may have other Plans, according to the Planning Permission application lodged on 22nd August last) and SuperValu is a pain to go shopping in - I try to avoid it if at all possible. |
