New Indian Takeaway
This new take away is up and running and appears to be doing good business.
There was earlier discusion on this topic and there appeared to be a lot of enthusiasm in advance of its opening. However rather surprisingly there has been no discussion since it opened.
Any comments good, bad or indifferent?

I am not a lover of Indian Food (Roast Beef, Bacon and cabbage, Yum)but am open to sugestions from anyone who has tried this particular takeaway.

It has been discussed.

See thread on page two entitled "I nearly wet myself".

I love Indian food, but won't try the new one while certain aspects of their menu are so overpriced. I will continue to go to my tried and tested regular Indian in Swords.

As much as I'd prefer to purchase it locally, I'll not pay more for a takeaway item than I can get cheaper in a restaurant.

Food Guru's indian takeaway is about a euro dearer per dish than the takeaway here but Food Guru do good all-in meal offer for 25 euro - two starters, two mains and 2 beers.

Food is lovely I have to say. Great to see it being cooked fresh and not from a pre-cooked job-lot. Also fairly authentic. However the lack of side-orders at a reasonable price and the length of time waiting will put people off over time.I would have been quicker phoning my order into the Chilshaker in Swords, collecting it and bringing it back while waiting on my order from the Indian Kitchen.Iron out these issues and it could be fabulous. Also I cant get through on the phone. Anyone else having trouble?

I really enjoyed my Korma.

It was 25 mins to collect, but I put that down to how busy they were.

I reckon once the novelty wears off, then they'll get the time down.

It's still a work in progress by the looks of things, so I'm gonna let it bed down for a while before I make any suggestions to the nice guy at the counter.

Again, great to see anything other than another bookie in the village.

Oh my God! is all i can say, the nicest Indian i have had in years, it is pricey but worth every penny. We waited over an Hour but it was worth the wait. I would recommend ordering an hour before you want to eat during busy times i.e Friday and Saturday nights.

If everyone did that would it not take just as long? :-)
I hear he is taking on one more person and installing another cooking station.

Yes the food here is delicious. I only order main courses and rice as the side dishes are too dear. I do not mind waiting a while as then you know it is cooked fresh to order. The staff in the Indian Kitchen are very polite and friendly. In the past, I always used to say to people "Donabate is great - but there is one thing missing - a decent Indian! "
This no longer being the case I wish them every success for the future!
