To Blowin: One local "plumber" attended to a similar problem with us and despite two revisits left the toilet with no flush - at which point i gave up on him because I didnt like him. Guy from Malahide sorted it in 15 mins.
It wasnt the chap being advertised here. i'd hazzard a guess that other forumers know who I'm talking about. |

Why in the world would you post such a thing about some randomer because you did not like him when it has nothing to do with the chap mentioned here... He is trying to drum up some business... Baffling.
Back to the topic... We have had Mark to our house on a few occassions, as recommended by a friend and we were very happy wih him. Our house is old so old pipes and fittings i thought would prove problematic, but not to mark.... Very happy with him and would recommend him to anyone

Ferrero, you pedantic balcock, I was just remarking that I had the same problem as a poster here and it wasnt resolved. Chose not to name the guy. Sorry it didnt justify itself for you. No worse than a business splashing up an entire price list here, using the forum as an advertising space.

Harry, thanks for the advice.
To the water man, sorry I haven't been back to you about this. Didn't mean to be rude.
The toilet is still flushing but the button thingy is sticking up from the cistern like a jack-in-the-box. On reflection, not sure that this is a big enough job an might just waste your time. I guess I just need to locate the correct nut to fix it back in place.
