hey Guys,

Claned yes it does, and thank god !! it's badly needed. I agree with bulldoser, we need Lines and if we could get them numbered that would be a bonus. It would save spsace and everyone would fit in. No racing home just to get your spot !!

Yeh totally agree on the lines and even more so for the numbers. Be great for each house to have 1 space and then Vistor spaces every so often. This should be able to handle anybody with multiple cars on first come first served basis.

Does anyone know why Kinane are doing this ? did someone complain? Is there a way we can request that the lines / numbers are added? I'd be happy to do whatever it takes

Would be slightly vary of putting house numbers on the spaces as if no car is parked there, its a good indicator that the house or apartment is unoccupied ! Lived is an apartment block before moving to Donabate and this was the advice we were given.

Hey guys,

yeah I heard there were a few complaints about the amount of space there was allocated to parking, too much green area but not enough parking. don't get me wrong i like green areas in estates but don't compromise on parking which is more beneficial to householders with no driveways.

I would definitely be in favour of spaces being numbered. there are a number of estates that have spaces numbered. get an Alarm on your house or eircom watch and there shouldn't be too much of a problem. With the builders coming and going about the place I don't think there will be many people scouting out the place. derry knows pretty much everyone in here by now.

It's definitely something to look into. Does anyone know when the next residents committee meeting is on as that would be an ideal time to bring it up and ask the committee to go forward to kinanes about it !! just a thought or speak to derry the Foreman. !!

Good point Jabba, but to be honest, I think I'd like to take the chance of possibly being broken into rather than the chance you take each evening wondering if you'll get a space or not.

I don't even know who Derry is...I'm never there during the day and by the time I get home all builders are gone...

With a bit of planning, I'm sure it wouldnt cost much to mark out the spaces

Claned, I totally agree with you in relation to rather being broken in to than racing home wondering if you even get a spot outside your house.

i'm still bemused at some people. There are more spaces but some people would STILL rather take a spot in another bay than take the new spot accross from their own house. I have come to the conclusion there are people in this estate don't even consider their neighbours.

i wish people would park in their own Bay especially those with 3 cars !! 3 cars in one household is having a laugh when a house with one car dosent even get a chance to park outside their house.

I certainly think I'll be asking kinane to put in Lines AND Numbers as this is the only way to sort it all out once and for all !!!
