A Walkway to Malahide - Dare We Hope?
They could be going half way from the Malahide side and stopping. Not much work on the Donabate side
Dont think it will ever happen to be honest.

Are you sure it isn't just a breakwater they are constructing rather than a walkway?

All the feedback I've been getting is that a walkway project is on a seriously long finger.

OK, I've refrained from posting this up to now in the hope that Some Messageboard Intellectual or someone else more knowledgable than I might have posted, but no joy, so here goes:

When the repaired viaduct reopened last November, I recall reading a newspaper report stating that the viaduct would need to be completely rebuilt. I suspect that the works that have been ongong for the past few months are related to rebuilding the viaduct, and have no connection whatsoever with an estuary walkway.

That is all.

You've a better chance of transition towns telling you to drive an SUV, read Bjorn Lomborg and burn rubber tyres in your back garden.

FF county council have no money and are very good at paying themselves high salaries and keeping them. All their planners were very busy during the boom but are probably spending their days now playing Doom.

There's no chance it will happen.
