Carrs Mills Property Prices
I am thining of looking at houses in Carrs Mills this year. Prices seem to be 500 for semi 5 bedand 700 for detached 5 bed.
Does anyone know what prices these were. I was told semis were going for 850 but not sure if I believe them. Also any idea what prices they are actually going for now?

Hi, the semi detached were originally 765,000, i know some that they are now being sold for between 450 and 500. The price on the detached are were originally 1,250,000. Dont know how much they are selling for now, but had heard between 750,000 and 900,000 depending on the size of detached. Hope this helps.

Stil sounds expensive. A detached 5 bed has been for sale in Beaverbrook on the Beaverstown Road for 800k for over six months and still hasn't sold AFAIK.

I actually viewed that house nearly 2 years ago and it is was 1.2 million, it was not worth that and thats why we didnt buy it. Carrs Mill was much nicer and services like the bus, train and shops, schools are alot closer than beaverbrook. There are alot of children in primary school living in Carrs Mill so if you have children they have lots of friends to play with.

You're not the only one who thought it wasn't worth it. Most of the people living in Beaverbrook thought the same.

I agree with you regarding children of school age in Beaverbrook. My son is nearly 7 and there aren't too many his age around.

Dear Collywobbles

Just read your message regarding the houses in Carrs Mill, did you purchase? I am strongly thinking of buying in that estate but heard recently that the walls are not properly insulated??

I am very nervous for that reason and would love to hear from someone who has bought those houses.

Regards,

Snowball

I live in a semi-D in Carrs Mill and you can only hear the neighbors if they are having a party, with loud music and drunk people screaming their heads off at 3am.

I don't know if that's normal of not (the soundproofing, not the neighbors) but I'm guessing it's normal.

Dear Momoto

Are you saying that the neighbours are on the wild side??

Thanks for your speedy reply.

Charlie Gallagher (the developer) was around last week knocking on doors and checking the houses out. He told the missus there had been complaints of cracks but refused to say where...

Not sure about the insulation of the houses but I do know they are B2 rated. I had a survey done on one of the houses and got a very good report back
