| Fingal CoCo set a poor example.... |
|
I saw a guy from Fingal
Coco in the village in one of those teeny litter trucks last week. In fairness to him he was picking up litter which is great. However he was blithely ignoring the cone on the sign that was about two foot away from him. I was tempted to stop the car and cause a jam by asking him to take it. |

| I am led to understand, by the highest authorities with relevant expertise, that the removal of the offending traffic cone from the traffic sign opposite Macari's is imminent. As a bonus they are even going to throw in the removal of the graffitti from the wall in the field adjacent to the petrol station. Prizes for guessing to the nearest week when the above will be actioned. |

| Traffic cone has been removed and all it took was a call to a member of Dail Eireann! Whilst I am grateful to Michael Kennedy it is ridiculous to have to resort to reporting a relatively trivial matter to a TD in order to get action. It begs the question, do our local councillors not notice these things? Maybe one of them could redeem themselves and do something about the grafitti, or better still, something about the quality of service from from the CoCo. |

Fully agree Lambay - had a similar query in with Michael Kennedy regarding Wall at Turvey - nobody in council had any information. To his credit he did get a reply from them.
Its a disgrace that our TD's have to sort out local issues which should be the responsibility of our councillors. If this is the trend then why not remove this tier of government and save taxpayers money? |

In defence of FCC, twice in the 18+ years that I have been living here a bulb has blown in street lighting close to my house. On both occasions I phoned FCC, advised them of the location and the ID number on the lamp post and in both cases the bulb was replaced within 24 hours.
In my experience, FCC is more than willing to do things - if they are asked.

| Maybe the guy in charge of the Street Lighting section could pass on his experience to his colleagues in other less organised sections. |

Lol @ lAMBAY
I have rang FCC a few times and I always found the staff pleasent and helpful.
But one time I had a member of staff hang up on my when I had a complaint about my bins,
I was ssssssssooo mad I rang back quoteing their customer charter which is listed on the website.
I had an apology and some free bin tags in the post 2 days later.
Could someone in the lighting dept jolt the student grant desk please they are almost a year behind in their work |
