That's sad. Are the Eagles that big a threat to sheep owners?

Hi jimmy2,

I yes agree its a great spot in that meadow between the cliff and the tower there for seeing birds. I think I've seen skylarks there too. I think it was a kestrel I saw because it has a very characteristic hover unlike the merlin but I didn't see it up close. Must try and take a picture next time.
