Bin Strike

This might effect some of you I got it by email from M Kennedy

A Chara

I have been informed by Fingal County Council that due to an escalation in industrial action in the public sector the Council will not be able to provide a black or brown bin collection service on Saturday 13th March next in lieu of the collection would have been due on St. Patrick?s Day, Wednesday, 17th March.

Your next scheduled bin collection after St. Patrick?s Day will therefore take place on Wednesday 24th March as per your collection calendar.

I trust this information is of interest to you and should you require assistance in relation to any query you may have, please complete the section below.

Yours Sincerely,

Because they are effectively missing a bin collection, if you are affected make sure you claim back part of your ?110 annual fee from fingal co co. Ok so its a small amount but its the principle of it.

If everyone claimed it back it would add up to a somewhat significant figure for Fingal Co. Co.

If you were using a private operator you would be within your rights to claim a refund

I doubt it,I bet they'd have small print somewhere avoiding it or the usual admin charge to get it which would be bigger than the refund. like good ole Ryanair.
