Bit of a leap there. So there were helicoptors in the area therefore the place is plagued by obnoxious youths?
While you were out walking the dogs, were you in any way threatened, discommoded or otherwise put out by anyone, except the Gardai going about their business?
PS - what did the Gardai say when you called them?

| There was a car (boy racer soundbox fitted) racing around the village last night, not sure if this is connected. Chances are it was driven by a youth. Chances also they would have been obnoxious. On another note I've noticed a new hangout for some of the kids is on top of the Pillars beside the pharmacy. Whilst I admire their ability to climb to such high perches, one would have to question the apparent necessity to continually spit from their lofty position. It is this latter behaviour that seperates them from apes. |

| hi Lambay, i had been walking my dogs in the village and those guys that hang around in the village have no respect for anybody else as they continued to kick there football whilst i was walking past my dogs were crouching down with fear from them screaming and shouting and the vulgar language coming from them was a disgrace to there parents. i will never walk my dogs through the village again, i dont mind people playing football and having a laugh once it does not intimidate me or my family and if they had the common decencey to hold there football when i pass by and the other people in the village too. The place is just not like it was 7 years ago when i first moved in. rant over (",) |

I walked past an ambulance in the Fairways this evening around 9.45 bemoaning United throwing away a 3-0 lead.
There were lots of teens around. I asked one of them what the story was.
Worryingly, he said some lady was attacked. Looks like a new generation have hit puberty in the area and I hope this does not bode ill for the summer.
Earlier, two young twats in a very noisy silver 98 (or 96) D jap car nearly crashed in the Fairways as they were unable to slow down in time at the top. Driver with dodgy sticky up brown hair (perhaps called Barry - heard someone shout) and Ginger sidekick also with stickyup hair. Kids on rollerblades watched on - luckily they were on the pavement.
Note to parents.
1. If your child drives a noisy car, sit down and have a chat about responsibility.
2. If your kid has just reached circa 15 and is staying out later in the evenings, have a chat about responsibility.

The last couple of nights there has been a lot of noisy cars going up and down the Portrane Rd.
The boy / girl racers must have got new exhausts instead of Easter Eggs this year. |

Sometimes the Gardai are asked to send in a chopper if patients from the hospital go missing. The thermal imaging cameras are invaluable for such searches in the grounds adjoining the hospital.
As for the lads around the shops, I mean kicking a ball around is hardley the handywork of a gouger now, is it? If they were standing around and not playing football and actively intimidating passers by, then thats a problem. And to be honest, there was far worse hanging around the village in 2002/03 when Delaney's shop was there.
And as for those skanger bangers...well some little scroat driving a red Mistubishi on the Portrane Rd tonight was observed doing his best to break the landspeed record and sound barrier in one go. His reg was taken and phoned into Swords station....

| Derek, a point of information also speaking from experience, never phone it into Swords station, they won't do anything about it. Phone 999 even for the smallest thing, it goes on computer record and has to be actioned. Garda in swords will just tell you it's being dealt with. |
