Digger at Donabate / Portrane Beach
Anyone know whats going on at the beach? Went for a walk tehre last night - first time in a few weeks and there was a digger about 30 meters out from the cliff walk between Donabate / Portrane in the middle of the sea?

Almost certainly related to the upgrade of the existing sewage plant.

It's probably been abandoned there by a penniless developer to stop NAMA from seizing it!

3 months :/ I didn't think it was that long since I was last down by the beach!!

Seem to be working late in the evenings anyway, I was there around 9pm and they lights were on and they were working away.

It looks like it is doing some dredging.

I suspect it may be doing some works to extend the sewage outlet, there are a couple along there that may not extend far out enough into the open waters, hence Donabate and Portrane beaches loosing their flags.

Just a theory.

I like what Squatter said though, would almost agree BUT! There's only one! lol
