| They are removing mature hedgerows to complement the growing of meadows in estates and also decrease any chance of screening whatever monstrosity they intend to build. I heard it was something to do with a pumping station. Reckon we might have a potential eyesore to rival the apartments beside the Church. |

| Yes apparently Donabate has been chosen along with several other small towns and villages to accomadate 5 traveller families. |

Its hard to imagine that site at the 'Hand' would be used to accommodate a halting site, FCC couldn't be that stupid could they, it is owned by FCC and looking at the current and the draft development plans there is no local objective to facilitate a halting site, if Donabate has been chosen in the lucky dip to accommodate a family from the travelling community, they will be tucked away in a corner somewhere not in a prime location in the centre of the village. The site is zoned 'TC' which in a nut shell is designated to improve urban facilities, example a Cop shop or a bakery!
I would say that the clearing work is being done to provide for a compound for the lads working on the greater good treatment plant. |
