Mystery Builder Who purchases alcohol for teenagers
This thread is in relation to under-age drinking.
Myself and my colleage from work both have 16-year olds who pal around together..

Recently they returned home drunk one evening to my colleages house. He/She notified me immediately and I collected my child. Needless to say I was furious and they are paying the price during this magnificant summer.

Im am not trying to start a discussion on the morals of under-age dinking but I want to find out how easy it is for 16 year olds to get alcohol in donabate..

We cross-examined the two sheepish youths before they had time to make up a story and they both said a builder purchased the alcohol for them. Is this just a fallback story or are builders irresponsible enough to do such a thing?

They're telling you porkies. They got the drink from someone and are trying to cover their tracks. They are responsible for their own actions, yet are trying to blame someone else to scapegoat their way out of it.

Chances are, it was one of their older freinds to got the drink, and they don't want to land their pal in it.

Oh, and drink is ridiculously easy for teenagers to get around here. Don't blame yourself over this - there are far worse teenage knackers out there drinking and their parents couldn't give a rats arse what their kids are up to. It's clear you do give a toss, and fair play to you for it.
