?125 fine (clapping)
Be careful where you place your ticket.

My weekly ticket was on the dashboard by the clock in full view but they clamped me.

I had to pay ?120 fine and an extra ?5 because ( I had not the cash on me so had to pay by credit card) in order for some guy to release me.

I went on to appeal (as strongly advised by your man) but got a bog-standard lettered reply with no reference to my photos that showed I was legit. It is like they never even read my appeal.
I will in NO WAY let them have the satisfaction of screwing me for that money so I will not use the train car park until I have re-coupped this money. It is a disgrace that they can treat a good customer like this!

That's rotten luck, sorry it happened to you.
Hope you get your money back but I suspect you'll have to go to the Small Claims Court before they cough up.

I understand that since your car was clamped you had no choice but to pay before the appeal, and now that they have your money I do not see you getting it back. I last year was fined ?80 for fare evasion, however as my foot was not clamped i was able to send a letter of appeal in detailing the circumstances before any money changed hands. They also sent me a bog standarded letter saying that my Appeal had been considered by the appeal committee and rejected. I told them I would of course pay the fine once they forwarded me the notes from the meeting outlining the reasons for the rejection, I never heard from them again.
