I Have to agree with the OP. I also hate the fact that it's riddle with advertising that I constantly inadvertently click on and end up on other sites. this site is also incredibly difficult to navigate, never mind trying to search for something that has already been discussed.
We could do so much better with a proper forum like on boards.ie for example, we could get a subforum set up for donabate/portrane:

Why don't we set up a forum there, that's at least usable? |

| Don't think we'd manage to convince the n0bs on boards to create a sub-forum (they don't seem to have any for any other villages). Although I would be up for using it over this site. |

Yes there was a valiant attempt to get something going on neighbours.ie - had a look to see if it was still active. Somebody posted an interesting item in August, but otherwise no activity.
