pc doctor?
Hi there,
My 4 year old hp seems to have packed it in. Before I buy a new one I'd be keen to try and have it repaired. I thought I had read that someone local ( maybe Steve a ) had these skills but can't find the thread. So...if anyone could give me a steer I'd be grateful.

If it's absolutely battered remove everything you need from it and try reinstalling the OS.

You'll have to define "packed it in" ;)

If it's running slow, is unusable from a software point of view, the easiest remedy is as mentioned, copy off everything you need from it and re-install the operating system from the CD's you got with it...

Blue screen of death. It's gone to skerries. Looks like the
motherboard. Thanks though.
